Cisco Systems® announces the end-of-sale and end-of life dates for the Cisco AS5300 Access Server. The last day to order the affected product is June 30, 2002. Customers with active service contracts will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) as shown in Table 1 in EoL product bulletin. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco AS5300 Access Server. Table 2 lists the product part numbers affected by this announcement.

The recommended upgrade path for the Cisco AS5300 Access Server is the Cisco AS5350 and AS5400 Series universal gateways. In addition to providing the dial-up data access capabilities of the Cisco AS5300 Access Server, the Cisco AS5350 and AS5400 Series universal gateways support data, voice, fax, or wireless calls on any port at any time. Table 2 compares the features of the Cisco AS5300 Access Server and the Cisco AS5350 and AS5400 Series products.
