Featuring intuitive graphical user interfaces and comprehensive features, Cisco Video Surveillance Stream Manager Software functions as an integration platform for security systems and enables true convergence of closed circuit television (CCTV) and the enterprise LAN. Stream Manager Software applications provide digital video, audio, and serial data management across any IP network.
New Features
Cisco Video Surveillance Stream Manager Software Version 5.1 includes the following features:
• Scheduled Retention
A scheduler has been added to more effectively use video storage resources. Schedules can be defined by time of day, duration, and day of week. One or more schedules can be applied individually to video streams, resulting in a flexible retention solution.
• Minimum and Maximum Retention
Maximum and minimum retention settings can be applied individually to video streams to provide more precise control over the retention and allow operators to customize the system for optimal performance.
• Retention Reporting Enhancements
Cisco Video Surveillance Stream Manager Monitor displays video retention on a per-video-stream basis. The retention display has been enhanced to display different colors depending upon the retention targets and actual retention.
• Enhanced Activity Detection Settings
The user interface for activity detection settings has been improved. There are now separate controls (slider bars) for sensitivity and threshold. These enhancements allow better control for activity detection and result in fewer false alarms.
Interoperability with the Pelco 9760 keyboard and matrix switch has been enhanced. Cisco Video Surveillance Stream Manager Software is now compatible with the Pelco 9760 keyboard versions 8.03, 8.42, and 8.45, and with Pelco matrix switch versions 7.8 (v7), 8.3 (v8), and 9.03 (v9).
