Wireless IDS---Active Termination for Managed Clients
Permits a single access point to appear to the wireless LAN as multiple virtual access points. It does this by assigning an access point with multiple BSSIDs or MAC addresses.
Support for Wi-Fi 802.11h DFS
Allows Cisco access points equipped with 802.11a radio modules to detect radar signals such as military and weather sources and switch channels on the access points.
Wireless IDS---Excess Management Frame Detection
Gives scan-only access points the ability to detect when "normal" wireless LAN management and control frames have exceeded a configurable threshold.
Wireless IDS---Authentication Attack Detection
Requires Cisco access points to detect and report on excessive attempted or failed authentication attempts (authentication failure detection and excess Extensible Authentication Protocol over LAN [EAPoL] authentication).
Wireless IDS---Active termination for Managed Clients
This feature, when paired with a 3rd party IDS server and WLSE, allows an AP to disassociate any managed clients associated to unmanaged APs.
Frame Monitor Mode for Access Points
Requires a scan-only access point to forward all seen 802.11 frames to a protocol analysis station for network troubleshooting from remote sites via partner applications and/or partner intrusion detection companies.
Location-Based Services on Regular Access Points
Allows a Cisco access point to detect frames from LBS clients and send them to a preconfigured IP destination (third-party LBS server).
WGB Mode on Cisco Aironet 1200 Series Access Points (1-Radio)
Allows Cisco Aironet 1200 Series access points to support WGB Mode on either 802.11b/g or 802.11a radios.
SNMPv3
This feature enables Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMPv3) support on Cisco access points to provide additional level of security for our customers.
