How to Standardize the Framing Configuration on an ATM Link
The framing configuration must be the same in all boxes on the ATM link if you have an ATM link that is connected by PVCs over DS3 or E3 cabling.
Use these guidelines in order to standardize the framing configuration on the ATM link:

Framing is set to the default, C-bit PLCP, and cannot be changed. Set all other ATM devices to default framing. Use the command:

Use the command:
where p7 is the framing parameter. A value of 0 for the framing parameter configures G.751 PLCP (default) framing, and a value of 1 configures G.804 Direct Mapping framing. For the other seven parameters, use the values for the link that you get when you issue a set interface command. |
