This document explains the ST Err: OBJ ID:30 Err:0x00000001 error, a nonfatal hardware card error that can occur with BXM cards in a BPX switch.

Error Explanation
The wide-area network (WAN) switch software incorporates diagnostic and self-test routines in order to monitor a node for proper operation and hardware availability. Self-tests run on all standby cards in order to ensure hardware and firmware reliability.
One of the tests performed during a self-test procedure is the flash checksum test. A checksum can occur on the card firmware that is stored in the electrically erasable programmable read-only memory (EEPROM) or Flash EEPROM. When the checksum test fails, a nonfatal hardware error is logged. You can view the error log with the dspcderrs <slot #> command.

Problem Solution
The most probable cause of the ST Err: OBJ ID:30 Err:0x00000001 hardware card error is a corrupted firmware image for the standby BXM card. Complete these steps in order to correct the problem:

Download and burn the correct ( registered customers only) firmware image on the card again.

If this does not clear the hardware errors, then change the hardware.
