End-of-Sale and End-of-Life Announcement for the SA-ENCRYPT Services Adapter
Cisco Systems announces the end of life of the Cisco SA-ENCRYPT services adapter. The last day to order the Cisco SA-ENCRYPT is September 30, 2003. Customers will continue to receive support from the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) until September 30, 2008. Table 1 describes the end-of-life milestones, definitions, and dates for the Cisco SA-ENCRYPT services adapter.
This services adapter is used in the Cisco 7500 and Cisco 7200 series routers and Catalyst® 5000 Series switches. The SA-ENCRYPT had reached end of sale for the Cisco 7200 Series in July 31, 2000. For more information see Product Bulletin 1161:

Product Migration Options
Encryption is available on the Cisco 7500 RSP with Cisco IOS® Software. Encryption and IPsec are available on the Cisco 7200 and Cisco 7400 series routers.
Customers with a SMARTnet® or a comprehensive maintenance program contract are entitled to free software updates, 24-hour phone support through the Cisco TAC, and hardware repairs. Customers with comprehensive maintenance program contracts also receive onsite service. Customers who do not have a maintenance contract can purchase software updates and hardware repair services from Cisco to meet specific requirements.
Customers can use the Cisco Technology Migration Plan (TMP) to trade in products and receive credit toward the purchase of new Cisco equipment. For more information about Cisco TMP, go to:
