Introduction
The Voice Interworking Service Module (VISM) card requires 64MB of memory space in VISM release 2.2 and later. This document describes how to verify the VISM card memory size.

Prerequisites
Readers of this document should have basic knowledge of MGX command line interface (CLI).
Note: A Cisco-level login password is required to perform this task.

The information in this document is based on VISM releases 2.2 and later.

Verifying VISM Card Memory Size
Complete these steps in order to verify the VISM card memory size:

Log in to the MGX switch with username cisco.

Issue the cc command in order to access the slot in which the VISM card is located.

Start a ShellConn session to verify the memory size:
g9-3-m1.1.14.VISM8.a > shellConn g9-3-m1.1.14.VISM8.a > d 0xbfa00000,1,1 d 0xbfa00000,1,1 bfa00000: fa !--- The letters "fa" indicate the memory is 64 MB. *................* !--- The letters "fb" indicate the memory is 32 MB. value = 21 = 0x15 g9-3-m1.1.14.VISM8.a > -
End the ShellConn session.
