Prerequisites
Requirements
Readers of this document should be knowledgeable of the following:
-
Cisco PXM1E module
-
Cisco MGX 8800 series switches
Components Used
This document is not restricted to specific software and hardware versions.

When the PXM1E is moved from an MGX 8830 chassis to an MGX 8850 chassis, the Failed Reason indicates a mismatch on the backplane—SHM_CDF_BKPL_NVID_MISMATCH. The node is in the UNKNOWN state.
Solution
You must use the shellConn prompt shmFailRecoveryHelp command, followed by option 3 (shmRecoverIgRbldDisk), to recover the PXM1E to the ACTIVE state. The following example shows the shellConn command and option:
|
shmFailRecoveryHelp |
