The Cisco ASR 1000 Series 10 Gbps SPA Interface Processor
helps enable high-performance, intelligent wide- and metropolitan-area network
(WAN and MAN) services. Enterprises and service providers can take full advantage
of the scalability and performance it offers, along with many options for WAN
aggregation and connectivity that the Shared Port Adapters (SPA) offers.
The new processor provides physical termination for
up to four half-height or two full-height or 2 half-height and 1 full-height
Cisco Shared Port Adapters (SPA) with a wide range of connectivity options,
including Ethernet, Packet over SONET/SDH (PoS), and serial interfaces. It
also offers ingress classification support for high/low priority traffic.
