Device Fault Manager ships with two CDs:

Product Consisting of

CD One Third Edition

  • CiscoWorks2000 server software

  • CiscoView software

  • Documentation—refer to

Note   In addition to the enclosed paper documents, PDF versions of product documentation are available on the product CDs. You might find it advantageous to refer to the installation instructions for individual products and print out the relevant documentation before proceeding with the installation.

Installation Prerequisites

For server and client requirements, refer to Installing and Setting Up Device Fault Manager.

Installing Device Fault Manager

CiscoWorks2000 CD One must be installed before Device Fault Manager.

has no other CiscoWorks2000 products

1. Install CD One.

2. Install Device Fault Manager.

already has a CiscoWorks2000 bundle installed with CD One First Edition

1. Upgrade to CD One Third Edition.

2. Install Device Fault Manager.

already has a CiscoWorks2000 bundle installed with CD One Second Edition

1. Upgrade to CD One Third Edition if you want to, but it is not required.

2. Install Device Fault Manager.

already has a CiscoWorks2000 bundle installed with CD One Third Edition

1. Install Device Fault Manager.

1. Install CD One Third Edition, if necessary (refer to Table 2).

Refer to Installing and Setting Up CiscoWorks2000 CD One Third Edition.

2. Set up your network, server, and client systems for CiscoWorks2000.

Refer to Installing and Setting Up CiscoWorks2000 CD One Third Edition.

3. Install Device Fault Manager product CD.

Refer to Installing and Setting Up Device Fault Manager.

4. Set up Device Fault Manager.

Refer to Installing and Setting Up Device Fault Manager.
