CiscoWorks Common Services provides a foundation of application infrastructure for all CiscoWorks applications to share a common model for data storage, login, user role definitions, access privileges, and security protocols, as well as for navigation and launch management. It creates a standard user experience for all common management functions and integrates CiscoWorks applications at multiple levels.
CiscoWorks Common Services provides the common framework for all basic system level operations such as installation, data management, including backup-restore and import-export, event and message handling, job and process management, etc. It also packages industry standard services, such as web, SNMP, XML parsing, XSLT processing, logging, email, etc, used by CiscoWorks applications. In addition, CiscoWorks Common Services allows third party management applications to be integrated and data to be shared.
