Export Data from User Tracking
Complete these steps:
-
Navigate to the $NMSROOT/CSCOpx/bin directory.
Note: $NMSROOT is the directory where you have installed CiscoWorks.
Note: If you use Campus Manager 3.3, the navigation path is $NMSROOT/CSCOpx/campus/bin.
-
Issue the ut command. The syntax for this command depends on the Operating System you use, as shown here:
-
For Solaris, the command is ut [options] ANIServer [UserName [Password]]
Here, options can be a combination of these options:
-cli -ping {enable | disable} -discover -query {all | phone | dupMAC | dupIP | hub | <name>} -discover -layout layout_name -import filename -export filename -stat -debug -serverSetDebugFlags [none, trace, debug, match, switch, router] -host <hostname or IP Address of ANIServer> -port <port number to connect to ANIServer>Note: The -host option is necessary if the client and the ANIServer are on different subnets. All options are applicable for the cli command, but only -debug, -host and -port options apply for the GUI mode. You require root access to run this command.
-
For Windows, you can use one of these two forms of the ut command:
-
ut [options] userid [password], where options can be a combination of these options:
-debug -host <ANI Server hostname or IP address> -port <ANI Server web port number> -prompt -help -
ut -cli [options] userid [password], where options can be a combination of these options:
-ping {enable | disable} -discover -query {all | dupMAC | dupIP | hub | <name>} -layout layout_name -queryPhone {all | <name>} -layoutPhone layout_name -import filename -export filename -stat -debug -host <ANI Server hostname or IP Address> -port <ANI Server web port number> -prompt -help
-
-
-
Use the appropriate command for the export operation:
-
For Solaris:
ut -cli -query all -export /tmp/UTexport admin admin
Note: While the export operation is in progress, the admin password appears in a 'ps' listing on the Solaris machine. The password is removed when the command completes.
-
For Windows:
ut -cli -query all -export c:\ut admin admin
