Introduction
This document describes the deletion of a service or skill group in a Cisco Intelligent Contact Management (ICM) environment. In particular, the document covers the impact of the deletion on the historical data that reside on the Historical Data Server (HDS).
Q. Are all the associated historical data in the HDS removed after the deletion of a Service or SkillGroup?
A. At the deletion of a service or skill group, the object is marked for deletion but still exists in the database with the Deleted flag set to Y (yes). The service or skill group is no longer available for use in the route scripts. But it does continue to appear in reports.
In order to see a list of the deleted objects, choose Configuration Manager > Administration > Deleted Objects.
Figure 1 appears. The window lists the deleted objects.

In order to permanently remove the objects, select the deleted objects and click Delete Permanently.
Figure 1 shows this action.
After the permanent deletion, the deleted services or skill groups no longer appear in reports. However, the historical data that are associated with the deleted objects remain in the HDS database until the daily autopurge process removes the data. The time period that the data stay in the database depends on the retention settings on the HDS. Refer to Identifying and Changing Logger and HDS Log Retention and Purge Settings.
