Problem Description
Pre 2003 production builds of the back cards noted in the Products Affected section were manufactured with an alignment block in order to assist the card when inserting into the MGX chassis. This alignment block was removed from the production boards in early 2003 as the alignment block will interfere with the RCON connector when inserting the back cards. Cards built prior to this date have this alignment block.
These alignment blocks are no longer required and have been removed from card production.
Background
In software release 5.1, the RCON connector was introduced with the MGX chassis. The alignment block on some older back cards (prior to early 2003) will interfere with the RCON connector when inserting the back cards.

The affected back cards had an alignment block to help align the card when inserting into the MGX chassis. This alignment block was removed from the production boards in early 2003. Cards built prior to this date have this alignment block.
Problem Symptoms
Pre 2003 production builds of the affected back cards were manufactured with an alignment block that obstructs the RCON connector when inserting the rear cards.
Workaround/Solution
If you have an affected back card with an alignment block please remove and discard the block.
The block may be removed with a Phillips screwdriver. Please discard the alignment block prior to installing the board into the chassis.
