Problem Description
Customers using an MCS-7835-I2 will have an issue with installation of CallManager 5.1(1a) because the BIOS flash files provided from manufacturing were corrupt and could not flash the BIOS.
Background
If a customer with CallManager 5.1(1a) gets a newer MCS-7835-I2 (software only or bare metal system) with the latest BIOS and runs the install DVD, the install will fail due to BIOS flash error.
Problem Symptoms
Customers with MCS-7835-I2 servers (software only or bare metal system) will experience install failures due to a BIOS flash error.
Workaround/Solution
No workaround is available. Users need to upgrade to CallManager 5.1(b). It is available at the Cisco Unified CallManager 5.1 Software Download Page (registered customers only) .
