The Associate Sales Representative (ASR) graduate role is the start of a career path to a fully qualified Cisco Account Manager position. This is one of the lead client-facing roles within the Cisco Sales teams, working with the Systems Engineering community to bring Cisco technology to our clients.

Program Start Date : July 2008 Eligibility requirement : Candidates must be able to live and work in the country they are applying for without sponsorship or visas from Cisco. (except training in Amsterdam) Language requirements : Candidates must be able to speak both English and the local language of the country they are applying for.
Summary of the Role :
Associate Sales Representatives primarily drive the client relationships, and bring the specialist technical knowledge of the engineering community to our customers. ASRs have a pivotal role in qualifying customer requirements, and developing & maintaining long-term partnerships with our valued customers.
Primary Responsibilities :
Sales planning and business reporting to senior management
Act as a lead for new business accounts and opportunities
Manage relationships with existing clients, holding responsibility for customer satisfaction, bookings, and revenue objectives
Business planning - write and agree business plans and follow through to execution and milestone tracking
Maintain a sound technical knowledge of Cisco products and solutions
Work closely with Systems Engineers on solution development
Working closely with our partners to deliver customer value

Education and knowledge required :

Business, finance or technical degree preferred
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Program Training :
The program training consists of a year based in the Cisco Amsterdam office. There you will go through a structured learning program consisting of a variety of learning methods, from classroom, through to role-play. During this training you will take part in two field trips returning back to the country you have applied to. These field trips offer an excellent opportunity to see the role hands-on and meet with the team you will be working with after training.
