Progression Model

Cisco measures the effectiveness of Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) with a market-leading framework. The aim is to learn how well ERGs function for employees and customers, and to engage ERGs strategically across the Cisco enterprise.

The ERG progression model and progression indicator allow ERG members to:

  • Build recruitment and retention of employees from diverse backgrounds
  • Create ERG strategy by identifying "next phase" structural and competency goals, expanding collaboration opportunities
