RFP-2007-041

Title:

Software Engineering (open call)

Summary:

This RFP covers all aspects of the product lifecycle, including design, implementation, validation, verification, and maintenance of large evolving embedded software systems, that are not specifically related to other RFPs.

Full Description:

Research sponsored under this RFP will address all aspects of the product lifecycle, including design, implementation, validation, verification, and maintenance of large evolving embedded software systems.

The broad goal of the research should be to improve software system testability, robustness, and security for application with emerging hardware technologies (e.g., multi-core CPUs) in embedded systems. This RFP also covers research proposals not directly related to any specific topic of the other RFPs on software engineering.

Constraints and other information:

IPR will stay with the University. Cisco expects customary scholarly dissemination of results, and hopes that promising results would be made available to the community without limiting licenses, royalties, or other encumbrances.

On-going research - open call (RFP-999-like specifically on Software Engineering).
