China is growing at a rate of between 8 percent and 10 percent from the building of roads, dams, and basic information infrastructures such as wireless technology. A phenomenal amount of investment will continue to take place in China over the next decade, as the government takes major steps toward embracing business and the Internet to develop a new social structure and initiate entrepreneurial programs for graduating university students.
The Cisco® Internet Business Solutions Group (IBSG) has successfully helped some of China’s largest service providers develop new business models and new services to address their changing local markets. This is an important achievement in a market where 1 million to 2 million new customers are attracted to a new service in one month.
IBSG is also working with some of the largest and most influential government agencies to provide broad Internet business education through the i-Executive Education Program, which educates the business masses on the impact of the Internet using an executive satellite broadcast program that can reach 10,000 business people at one time.
